Foundation course centres in Beijing and Shanghai

In 2024, we successfully established the first franchised foundation course center for Kingston School of Arts in central Shanghai, in collaboration with a local Chinese partner. This initiative aims to create a robust recruitment pipeline while enhancing the local outreach for both Kingston School of Art and Kingston University in China. Through this partnership, we are not only expanding our educational offerings but also fostering stronger ties China for wider range of engagements, including alumni and industry collaborations.
In addition, we have also supported the establishment of the Teaching Centre for the University of London in Beijing and provided ongoing support to its Shanghai teaching partner.
Our strategic partner, London Global Education also delivers its own foundation courses across different cities in China at universities or international schools, with a projection of 500 enrolment in the next three years.

TNE in China and wider Asia

We are currently representing several Chinese universities and some private higher education providers in Singapore, supporting their Transnational Education (TNE) partnership development and delivery with UK universities. Our role spans the full partnership lifecycle, from early-stage partner identification and academic alignment through to operational setup, quality assurance, and ongoing delivery oversight.

In parallel, we work closely with some UK universities to develop franchise and validation models that are academically robust, commercially viable, and reputationally sustainable. Our focus is on creating balanced and equitable partnerships, ensuring that responsibilities, risks, and benefits are clearly understood and shared by all parties.

We also support Chinese universities and education groups as both hosting partners and strategic collaborators within TNE arrangements. Drawing on our deep understanding of the Chinese regulatory environment and institutional context, we help align UK TNE and collaborative models with local approval requirements, governance structures, and student expectations. This ensures that partnerships are not only compliant, but embedded within the long-term institutional strategies of Chinese partners.

Crucially, we do not treat TNE as a one-off setup exercise. Beyond establishment, we provide ongoing partnership management and delivery support, helping institutions navigate the operational realities of TNE—such as staff recruitment and development, quality assurance reviews, performance monitoring, and relationship management across multiple stakeholder levels. This long-term engagement supports partnership stability, continuous improvement, and sustainable growth.

Some of our TNE clients and partners include:

    • University of Southampton
    • Chongqing University
    • Ulster University
    • Kingston University
    • Guizhou Normal University
    • Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance
    • University of Electronic Science and Technology of China
    • Southern China Normal University
    • Wuhan Technology and Business University
